This is a T-Bone steak done in glass beads that has an "INRI" banner at the top. I won't bring up my catholic childhood here, but I'll include this quote from the Yi Jing: "The fifth line shows the neighbor in the east, who sacrifices an ox; but this is not up to the spring sacrifice of the western neighbor, whose sincerity receives the blessing." Needs no refrigeration. Has two beaded tabs on the back so you can hang it up. I didn't use a pattern; I drew a picture of the steak and went from there.

This is a rendering in beads of a great sci-fi magazine cover from the 1950s. Just beads and thread, no glue. Beads stitched into beads, one millimeter at a time! I will be making a frame for this piece. This is about 7" in height by about 5" wide.

This is a mini retreat for the mind. The tiny camel will take you there. Relax under the shade of the palm tree and drink the cool water before you go any farther along the dunes. Smaller-than-small beads with thread, improvisational.

This is a necklace that commemorates a random gift made to a stranger by a friend of mine. He had heard that a record store was buying and stashing away an LP that was becoming collectible (for later, more profitable sale). In defiance he gave his extra copy of it away to the next guy he saw on the street. He had no idea whether the guy would like it, but he ran into him a few weeks later, and the guy was raving about how much he loved it. I thought this was a great example of the things we do to make our surroundings just a tad less generic. The hand is hollow, but I stuffed it for reinforcement. This was improvisational, with no patterns followed. I had a general idea, started making the "buildings" (the rectangles above the hand) and went from there. Like most other things I make, it's all beads and thread.

These are "unscripted" faces made of glass beads and thread. I make these custom, so if you want me to make you an Abraham Lincoln or a Marilyn Monroe, give me a ring. They measure about 1-1/2"high x 1" wide. I will have them for sale at Beet Gallery in November, as part of a solo show called "Beads and Light: Dimensional Beadwork" opening Thursday, November 1st and going through Tuesday, December 4th.

Here's another bead kit. The translucent blue beads came from an antique store in the Czech Republic, and have sparkly facets. The gold beads are coated glass and are semi-matte. The other beads are glass and some are vintage. Three kits are available.

A bead collage tapestry. Lots of stories here that only the sagebrush can tell. Tabs on the back make it ready to hang. This will be part of a show called "Beads and Light: Dimensional Beadwork" at Beet Gallery the month of November.

These are hollow, handstitched heads made of glass "seed" beads. The beads range from 1 - 3mm in size. Just beads and thread, no glue or armatures. Wild, eh? I can modify them so they can be strung; I have little boxes that they fit in; and I can even put a little magnet in the bottom so it stands up by itself. I have beads in tons of colors, so I can make one in your fave colors. They are small, a little over 1" to 2" high.
