I just discoverd the Wonderful world of Spinning a few months ago, and bought a wheel right away. Since then I have made yarn and also learned how to dye fiber! :)

New Orleans LA3 1734These recycled Calvin Klein jeans have been given a new life and revamped into a one-of-a-kind piece of clothing.
This reconstructed denim skirt features a fleur-de-lis applique (the symbol of New Orleans). The applique is made from recycled coral-colored textured silk.

Pisgah Forest NC92 1110I call this my Shrunken Ex-Husband/Boyfriend bracelet ~ he's really kinda cute in his own way (but aren't they all). He is carved out of bone and then strung up with some bone skulls (his drinking buddies) and some beautiful faceted black crystals. Sterling beads & a cute little pewter toggle clasp.
Bracelet is 7.5 inches long.
Everything is shipped in a pretty little decorative tin ~ Perfect for gift giving, or dream catching ~

I can't sell this without infringing on Kumiko Sudos copyright (the pattern is from her book Omyagi) but it's a good example of what I can do with a needle and thread.
