This little bag will hold a credit card as well as photo ID and gets lots of compliments when I wear it. I beaded the bag in 3 drop brick stitch, embellished the front with blister pearl squares set on point, beaded a slide top and then beaded the necklace portion. How many hours? Didn't count them, just kept beading.
This pattern was in the recent issue of Bead & Button. I knew it was the perfect necklace to showcase the optical lens with my mom's baby picture. In the picture mom is about 8 or 9 months old. I made this for her 74th birthday.
These squares were for a bead challenge from the High Desert Bead Society. All the squares were put together to make 3 hanging quilts, one was donated to the Bead Museum in Glendale another was donated to a Woman's shelter for auction in Prescott and the last one was raffled at HDBS.
