It is a well known fact that Halloween is my favorite holiday.  In recent years we have made it more than an excuse to gorge on chocolate and dress up.  So begins the legend of Hallowmas...

Unfortunately my boyfriend's birthday falls on the 21st of December, so he has never had a proper birthday separate from Christmas.  I was horrified and vowed that I would give him a birthday every year.  It soon became clear to me that between Christmas gifts for my family & friends and his LARGE Catholic family as well birthday and Christmas for him that this plan was EXTREMELY financially taxing.  We decided that since Halloween was our favorite holiday that maybe we should have our gift exchange then, complete with tree & big dinner.  We our celebrating our 3rd Hallowmas this year and now have a few friends celebrating with us as well.

I mentioned this to artyhousewife here on lov.li, she loved it and asked me to post pics of my tree.  As I am buying a house and moving I do not have a tree this year, but I am posting pictures of our "franken-tree" from last year.

Hopefully this will inspire some people and start a revolution!
