The band is carbon steel and was formed through pressing and cold forging processes. The pin holding the stones is sterling silver. This ring is part of a series I call "Spice of Life". I started with a 20mm sterling silver bezel. Inside I set a 15mm cut glass perfume vial filled with an amazing spice blend from India. The colors and textures of the spices are so beautiful--like tiny organic gems! Around the vial I used shimmery metalic gold polymer clay. All set on a sterling silver band size 7. With this ring comes a "story book" of information and folklore about the spice trade. YUM!
